About Us

Auditory Health Care, also known as The Hearing Clinic, opened in January 1999 in the beautiful town of Walkerton, Ontario. We are a locally owned & operated, full-service clinic. Our clinic is fully equipped to identify, assess and rehabilitate hearing difficulties of adults, infants and children. We are also licensed to prescribe and sell hearing aids and other assistive listening devices.

Our Promise

Our goal is to work in cooperation with our patients to determine what approach is most appropriate for their hearing health needs. We are committed to staying informed of ongoing research, public education and new training. We pride ourselves on always offering a professional and caring environment for our patients and their families.

What is an Audiologist?

Audiologists are expert at assessing, preventing and rehabilitating hearing problems, as well as providing education and counseling services. They also prescribe and fit hearing aids and other assistive listening devices and provide training for their use.

An Audiologist is regulated by CASLPO (College of Audiologist and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario) - a governing body that establishes and enforces professional standards for regulated Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists.

By seeking help from Auditory Health Care (a CASLPO member), as opposed to a non-regulated service provider, Ontarians can be assured that they are dealing with professionals who have a Masters Degree, clinical training and experience in assessment and management of communication disorders. Patients of our clinic should also have peace of mind knowing that Auditory Health Care is required by law to adhere to strict professional and ethical standards, and is accountable to CASLPO if a complaint is made.

The Clinic

Located in the wonderful town of Walkerton, our clinic is located on the main level of a charming Victorian-style brick house built for a local businessman and his family in 1914. It has been renovated to allow for a large waiting room, reception/office area, a consultation room, test suite and washroom. A ramp was built in 2000 to allow the office to be wheelchair accessible.
